Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit went their separate ways once both men began to pursue the WWE and WCW Championships in the summer of 2001. Jericho spent a significant amount of time in singles competition, but once his Undisputed Championship reign concluded at WrestleMania 18, he was directionless in WWE.

A return to Raw, however, would do him wonders, and once he was back on the flagship show where he belonged, he quickly found success alongside Christian when they won the World Tag Team Championship in October 2002.

Their best work as a tandem was not when they were chasing the championship but rather when they were chasing Trish Stratus and Lita. Their attempts to win over the irresistible Divas never ceased to entertain, and they clicked in every one of their backstage segments. Similar JeriKO, they weren't constantly teaming throughout their time as teammates, but they were always interacting with each other on programming.

The tandem came to a bitter end when they went one-on-one at WrestleMania XX with Christian solidifying their split by betraying his best friend and siding with Stratus. It was an enjoyable angle for as long as it lasted, largely due to the chemistry Christian and Jericho possessed together.
