The phrase "good friends, better enemies" has been often used in wrestling to describe former friends that become rivals, but sometimes it's the other way around. That was certainly the case with Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit, who spent the better part of the year 2000 feuding over the Intercontinental Championship and putting on instant classics every time they crossed paths.

By 2001, however, they earned each other's respect. They entered the tag team ranks at Judgement Day when they won a Tag Team Turmoil match to earn a future shot at the World Tag Team Championship. On the next night's Raw, they contested one of the all-time greatest matches in Raw history where they defeated The Two Man Power Trip, Triple H and Stone Cold Steve Austin, to become champions.

To top off what was a historic week for the former foes, they successfully defended their newly won straps on SmackDown in the first ever televised Fatal 4-Way TLC match against The Hardy Boyz, The Dudley Boyz, and Edge and Christian. Their stint as champions might have been short-lived thanks to Benoit suffering a serious neck injury, but it was surely unforgettable and a great way of adding excitement to the already-stacked tag team scene in WWE.
