The entire pro wrestling world had to check calendars when Bill Goldberg returned after a 12-year layoff to spear and Jackhammer one Brock Lesnar out of his boots. Was this Survivor Series 2016? Or, had everyone stepped into a time loophole that rocketed them back to some alternate version of Survivor Series 2004?

Nope, it was defo 2016.

"Fantasy Warfare Just Got Real" was the tagline for the pay-per-view. It was a thinly-veiled bid to promote WWE 2K17; the event's poster, which showed Brock in the same pose he was on the game's box art, didn't even try to hide that fact.

This one earned a spot so high here because of shock value. It's important to remember what Lesnar was back in 2016 (and, in many respects, what he still is today). He didn't stare at the lights too often, and he certainly didn't lose matches in less than 90 seconds to returning ex-WCW stars.
