5. Vs. Triple H - WrestleMania XXIX

What happens when one Superstar attempts to create a masterful WrestleMania classic, has 24-plus minutes to do so and the biggest box office draw in the industry to work with?

Nothing good, as it turns out.

The WrestleMania 29 No Holds Barred match between Lesnar and Triple H was a clash of styles from beginning to end; a war of attrition that played to neither man's strength and devalued Lesnar.

The biggest badass in the company, responsible for decimating every unfortunate soul put in his path, was defeated by an aging COO, with an assist from a much smaller (and retired) Hall of Famer-turned-professional hunter.

Triple H, for the numerous all-time great matches he has been part of, has a tendency to overthink his WrestleMania matches. He lays out these grand battles that are often overly long and flat. They plateau rather than steadily build to a suitable and enjoyable climax. Look no further than disappointments against Chris Jericho, Randy Orton and Roman Reigns at the event for evidence.

Illogical booking, including Triple H and Michaels cheating to beat down Lesnar despite a No Holds Barred gimmick, only further descended the match into the doldrums of mediocrity and disappointment.

The cherry on top of this slice of sucktitude?

Triple H going over Lesnar at a time where 100-percent of WWE Creative's efforts should have been focused on the continued booking of the heel as an unstoppable freight train of pain and destruction.
