Ranking Edge's WWE SummerSlam Matches From Worst To Best

6. Team WWE vs The Nexus (2010)

Cena Edge SummerSlam

This match is probably most famous today due to the dreadful ending in which Super Cena single-handedly buried The Nexus. While Cena’s role in that finish is debatable (he states it wasn’t his idea to win, though he came up with the improbable means by which he did it), Edge, along with Chris Jericho, has publicly said that it was a mistake, and for that, he should be commended.

His contribution to the match itself, though, is a little less notable. He gets the pin on Skip Sheffield (later to become Ryback), the one Nexus guy who comes out of the match looking any good. Then he bickers with teammate Cena, allowing Heath Slater to roll him up. Edge and Jericho deliver a petty beating to Cena, and they’re off.

It remains a solid but frustrating main event, even with its sour conclusion, but at present, this is the last SummerSlam match Edge worked. Barring any unpredicted nonsense, his showdown with Seth Rollins should exceed this and then some.
