Ranking Every 2017 WWE Pay-Per-View From Worst To Best
1. Tables, Ladders & Chairs
The Good: Kurt Angle finding Intensity to match his Intelligence and Integrity for the first time since returning to WWE was spine-tingling. Captured beautifully by the cameras, he was presumably asked to act as if he was shooting laser-beams from his eyeballs, because it felt like ones were striking you in the heart on the other side of the screen. Absolutely blasting Cesaro through a table then dramatically kicking out of the Skull Crushing Finale was an iconic conclusion to his - and The Shield's - pay-per-view return. Elsewhere, selecting AJ Styles from an entire roster as a last minute opponent for Finn Bálor was an inspired decision. Loaded with drama, intrigue and enough nudges and winks to leave you bruised and bemused, it restored Finn's wounded superstar aura in one night. There's no such thing as 'too' sweet.
The Bad: Enzo Amore defeating Kalisto for the Cruiserweight Title was the right call creatively, but their match was predictably the pits. As too was a limp showdown between Alexa Bliss and Mickie James. The Champion spent weeks deriding James for being too old to cut it at just 38, then was booked as being correct all along.
The Ugly: Very little, though in the alternate universe where Sister Abigail actually debuts, this is probably the worst show of all time. Back in this timeline, it just could have done without Jason Jordan lobbing vegetables at Elias.
