Carmelo Hayes has been ready to light up WWE's main roster for a while now. He'd done it all on NXT, so it was magic to see him move on up and get straight in the face of Cody Rhodes on SmackDown. Carmelo being the third overall pick during the Draft's opening night is some show of faith from Triple H.
This is the kind of jump the Draft was made for. Hayes showed a lot to like vs. Cody on Friday, and he's even handy with a mic in his hands. The future looks golden for Melo. He could easily go on to become one of SmackDown's most impressive newcomers over the summer months.
