3. Cameron Grimes

Cameron Grimes' legacy is written into the wrestling history of North Carolina.

Trained by Matt and Jeff Hardy, the real-life Trevor Lee is also the son of Tracey Caddell, a wrestler-turned-promotor who founded OMEGA with the elder Hardy in 1992. Sadly underappreciated up to his death in 2018, Caddell helped train wrestlers such as Shane Helms, Shannon Moore, Joey Mercury, and Lita.

Grimes does right by his family legacy as the hottest act coming out of the Tar Heel State. After successful turns in Impact and PWG, Grimes came to NXT rebranded as a redneck fireball shooting through the NXT Breakout Tournament. He wouldn't win that competition, but he quickly gained a reputation for his hotshot style where he tries to end matches as quickly as possible, brandishing his Caveman Stomp at the earliest opportunity.

His gimmick is a little limiting, but Grimes wears his heritage proudly. He's already amassed a few championships in his rise, and as it stands now, he could very well be challenging midcard gold in NXT in the coming months.
