Ron 'The Truth' Killings got over by the virtue of his powerful promos in 2002, making history as the first African American to hold the "10 Pounds Of Gold" as well as only the second to claim it in TNA's short history.
His two reigns were a little unremarkable, but were at least a partial statement of intent from the upstart promotion that the doors to fresh glory for new stars had been flung wide open.
