As good a first choice as any but not a great deal else, Ken Shamrock was a perplexing omission from WWE's radar when they set about filling the roster with any and every talent with major appeal following the WCW buyout.

Their loss was TNA's gain, even if it didn't feel much like it after the buzz of his original win died down.
