Ric Flair's second and final WWE Championship win has a certain hollowness on rewatch, despite the euphoria that came with his loss to Bret Hart weeks later.

He brutalised the already-injured Randy Savage in an uncharacteristically drab match Vince McMahon was unhappy enough with on the night that he stopped it half-way through, ordering both to try again on the long television taping an hour or so later.
