Ranking Every Triple H WrestleMania Match From Worst To Best
1. Vs. The Undertaker - WrestleMania XXVIII
Signing off both this collection of star-studded battles on the biggest night of the Wrestling calendar for one of the most recognisable names the industry has ever seen, a trilogy of deeply varied altercations, and a four-year-long pulsating narrative involving the last three members of a bygone era, top spot was only ever going to belong to one blockbuster brawl.
Housed inside of the towering structure that had become synonymous with both Triple H and The Undertaker over the course of their often savage time within the squared-circle, said eerie Hell in a Cell setting provided the perfect backdrop for both undoubted icons to lay it in hard as HBK watched on in a refereeing capacity.
And it was The Showstopper who once again formed part of arguably the match's most memorable exchange, too, as the DX duo looked to have finally conquered their tormentor and fellow era-definer with a Pedigree/Sweet Chin Music double whammy. The near-fall, Michaels' distraught face, and the realisation that their best shot still wasn't enough to dispatch the mighty Phenom. Perfection.
Theatre in its purest form on the biggest stage, and sealed with the immortal image of three titans seemingly waving goodbye to their time in the sun… even if they very nearly squandered all this good will for blood money a few years later.
Thanks for the memories, Trips!
