Undertaker WrestleMania 24

The Undertaker at WrestleMania was a formula for guaranteed success during this time. Whoever he shared the ring with on the Grandest Stage of Them All, he would make them a bigger star while adding to his own legacy. One of the best among those and indeed one of the best feuds of that decade, was his showdown with Batista at WrestleMania 23.

Taker had won the Royal Rumble earlier that year. After an unearthly amount of teasing, he chose the World Heavyweight Champion Batista as his champion of choice. The Animal, the Phenom, how could this go wrong?

They put together a hard hitting masterpiece at ‘Mania. At the end of which, Taker finally overcame his freakishly strong adversary and put him away with the Tombstone. The gong sounded, the pyro went off, and the Undertaker stood holding the world championship aloft.
