Ranking Every WWE Championship Reign Of The 2020s So Far
13. Bobby Lashley (January-February 2022)
There's going to be a lot of talk about the early months of 2022 in this list, because it was absolutely bonkers.
In the build-up to WrestleMania 38, it was clear that Brock Lesnar was going to be facing Roman Reigns in the 'Mania main event. He was also feuding with Bobby Lashley over the WWE Championship, which is what led to this moment at the Royal Rumble.
During his match with Lashley, Lesnar was speared out of his sponsored shorts by Reigns, handing the belt to the CEO of the Hurt Syndicate. How long would this triumph last? Three weeks. Who did he lose the belt back to? I'll give you three guesses.
Lashley put his title on the line inside the Elimination Chamber, but never actually entered the match. Seth Rollins powerbombed Austin Theory through his pod, which took Bobby out with one of the softest kayfabe injuries of all time. The Chamber was won by a certain Mr. Lesnar, rendering Lashley's 21 days with the title totally and utterly pointless. This would be his final world title reign in WWE, which makes things even sadder.
