The aggressive 2013 megapush for the 'All American American' steamrolled its way through an entire Chamber match and WrestleMania buildup, as the Tea Party rhetoric-spewing Zeb Colter joined forces with Jack Swagger to take down struggling babyface World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio.

Swagger's run on television and Colter's emotive verbiage telegraphed the finish of the Elimination Chamber, which seemed even more ludicrous in light of the fact he was sharing the ring with Randy Orton, Daniel Bryan, Kane and Chris Jericho.

In an effort to elevate Swagger well beyond his status, those particular stars were thoughtlessly sacrificed, with then-tag team champions Bryan and Kane dismantled by Mark Henry, who himself would suffer an RKO alongside Chris Jericho, as Randy Orton looked set for victory.

Rolling up the dominant 'Viper' in an intentionally fortuitous conclusion immediately after he'd despatched 'Y2J', Swagger looked every bit the chancer audiences already thought he was.

Regrettably, Swagger was stung with an ill-timed DUI just weeks before his huge WrestleMania match.

With a black mark against his name and audience apathy for his act on the rise, he was rapidly de-pushed, rendering much of the belligerent bluster around the show utterly useless.
