Edge Elimination Chamber

Outside of the stirring conclusion in which Triple H tapped out to eventual winner John Cena, Raw's contribution to the February Pay-Per-View served only to provide an inferior tribute to a famous Chamber moment.

Sacrificing the rare clean submission from 'The Game', Sheamus' maiden WWE Title reign, and big match opportunities for Ted Dibiase Jr and Kofi Kingston, the entire brawl was instantly forgotten when Vince McMahon announced an immediate title defence for Cena against Dave Batista.

Serving the shattered Cena on a platter to 'The Animal' as he had done four years earlier to Edge (more on that later), McMahon repaid a favour to Batista for helping him in his feud with Bret Hart, and in doing so, ended Cena's title reign after less than a minute.

Though Batista had been excellent in his run as an obnoxious, arrogant heel at that point, it seemed a spurious way to build to their WrestleMania 26 rematch, and frustratingly rendered the preceding thirty minutes in the Chamber completely pointless.
