Ranking Every WWE Money In The Bank Winner’s Run With The Briefcase
3. Seth Rollins - 2014
While Daniel Bryan may have lacked the patience to wait until WrestleMania for his cash-in, the same can’t be said of Seth Rollins. In 2015, Rollins pulled off what Michael Cole dubbed the ‘heist of the century’ when he sensationally cashed in during the main event of the biggest show of the entire year.
His timely appearance turned the one-on-one slugfest between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns into a Triple Threat, prompting a manic couple of minutes in which all three men came close to winning. Ultimately, after Reigns had taken out Lesnar with a Spear, Rollins capitalised to hit the Curb Stomp on his former tag team partner and notch the pin for an absolutely incredible finish to the show.
The win marked a number of Money in the Bank firsts—the first time a one-on-one bout had been turned into a Triple Threat, the first time a cash-in had arrived mid-match and the first time a cash-in had seen the title change hands without the champion actually being pinned.
Add in a memorable run with the briefcase, much of which was spent trying to overcome Dean Ambrose’s attempts to foil him, and it’s easy to see why this one ranks in the top three.
