The announcement of Mick Foley's entry into the 2013 Hall Of Fame was one of the few moments a Raw legend was actually lionised outside of a show-closing 'Rock Concert' designed to trigger hostilities with Royal Rumble opponent CM Punk.

Their back-and-forth was at times exceptional, though this particular brawl couldn't compare with a verbal spar a week earlier.

The episode was instead a standard episode of Raw broken up by a cavalcade of clips introduced by characters broadly relevant to the particular gimmick. The product wasn't particularly fascinating at the time, but it was admirable in comparison to 2018's chronic Raw 25 that most midcarders weren't needlessly put to the sword.

The only exception was a cringeworthy segment featuring Ric Flair and The Miz. Turning babyface at the end of 2012, Miz was already floundering in his miscast role, but 'The Nature Boy' instructing him how to lock the Figure Four leglock on then-United States Champion Antonio Cesaro did nothing for either man's lasting legacy. It birthed an awkward union between the pair that saw 'The A-Lister' circle the drain before a much-needed return to the heel fold that October.
