Ranking Every WWE Title Change On Raw From Worst To Best

13. Rob Van Dam Vs Edge Vs John Cena (July 3, 2006)

Bobby Lashley
WWE

There was too much of a tragic inevitability about the result to enjoy what was an otherwise enjoyable match when Rob Van Dam but his WWE Championship on the line against former titleholders and heavy favourites Edge and John Cena. That it was happening on Raw at all only leaned into that - RVD was doing the job because he was in a bit of real life bother.

Van Dam and Sabu's legal issues the prior weekend resulted in an impending suspension for 'Mr Monday Night' - this one proved to be his last Raw as the company's top guy.
