Where: WrestleMania XXV.

It must've been disappointing for Carlito/Primo Colón, John Morrison and The Miz that their World/WWF Tag-Team Title unification match never made the main card at WrestleMania XXV. Instead, the quartet were relegated to the pre-show (footage does exist) in a Lumberjack bout.

Match quality is only part of the argument here anyway. The other part? How effective the unification was overall. This, thankfully, was a fairly decent one, because WWE wouldn't split the tag division again until the next brand split in 2016. That's when the SmackDown Tag straps were created as a counterpoint to the Raw versions.

That's how things have been ever since.

It also looks like WWE are set to unify both sets of tag belts again soon. Fingers crossed they do what they did back in 2009. In others words, pick a solid duo, line up countless credible challengers and present the titles as important on TV and pay-per-view.
