Where: 22 July 2002 Raw.

It almost seems impossible to think that any match pitting Rob Van Dam vs. Jeff Hardy could be bad. The pair worked back-to-back bangers at Invasion and SummerSlam 2001, and they were at it again on the 22 July 2002 episode of Raw. This one might've been shorter, but it was still magic.

Reigning European Champ Jeff Hardy lost his title to then-IC Champion RVD during the match. This had been on the cards for a while, and here's proof in the form of a quick 'Did You Know?': Hardy's European Title hadn't even been updated to reflect the WWF's change to WWE months prior.

Yep. The Euro belt still had the old logo on it.

That shows just how little the company cared for the prize by '02. They were keen to get rid of it, and rightfully so. Fans didn't view the championship as important either, and that makes this title unification one of the more reasonable ones.
