Hulk Hogan and Randy Savage's union as The Mega Powers is one of the most significant moments of the 1980s. WWE's two biggest stars joined in union after Savage won the WWE Championship, but it wouldn't take long for things to unravel between 'The Hulkster' and the 'Macho Man'.

In the social media age, it is hard to imagine the audience accepting Hulk Hogan as the good guy in a situation where he continually interfered with Randy Savage's relationship with Ms Elizabeth, even going as far as to insist that she accompany him to the ringside for his matches. Tensions reached a boiling point during the February 2nd edition of Saturday Night's Main Event. Savage accidentally fell into Elizabeth during The Mega Powers' match with Akeem and Big Boss Man, with Hogan leaving Savage high and dry to carry her to the back instead of helping his partner, leaving Randy defenseless to take a beating.

This could only lead to one thing at WrestleMania 5. 'The Mega Power Explode'. Despite taking Randy's classic Savage Elbow, Hogan sold it like it didn't happen, Hulked Up, and hit the big boot and leg drop for the 3-count, winning the WWE Championship from Savage and the main event of WrestleMania 5.
