Kane and Umaga feuded during 2006, and the two monsters faced off in a Loser Leaves Raw match on the red brand's 9 October edition. Unfortunately, it was the Big Red Machine who would lose the bout and he was forced to leave Raw forever.

However, the match stipulation never said anything about SmackDown and, within a week of Kane's apparent departure from WWE, The Devil's Favorite Demon showed up on the blue brand, where he took on newcomer MVP, highlighting just how dominant he can be when he is mad.

Kane's return to SmackDown would lead to some truly wonderful moments further down the line, including when he ended up getting involved in The Undertaker's rivalry with Mr. Kennedy.
