Ranking The Subsequent Success Of Every NXT Champion

15. The Revival

The Revival still have the potential to ascend much further within the WWE ranks. They have been massively hampered by injuries thus far, however, with Scott Dawson now nursing a serious knock just a few weeks after Dash Wilder's return from the one he sustained almost immediately after their memorable debut against The New Day.

The Revival's gimmick (or lack thereof) lent itself to incredible rivalries with Enzo And Cass, American Alpha and #DIY across five Takeovers and a WWE Network special event. In particular, their two battles against Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa showcased tag team wrestling at its finest, with their two out of three falls match at Takeover: Toronto spectacular enough to earn several 'Match of the Year' accolades.

Assuming that the company doesn't make the brainless decision to split them up as they have done with Enzo and Cass (who will surely go down as one of the most notable teams to never win a tag team title on either NXT or the main roster), The Revival should be a dependable tag team for years to come. A program with the Hardys should've allowed them to shine at SummerSlam, but hopefully that can be resumed upon Dawson's return if they haven't been given up on by that point.

Matches against Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins or Sheamus and Cesaro are also hugely appetising prospects.

Alex was about to write a short biography, but he got distracted by something shiny instead.
