Ranking The Undertaker's 22 WrestleMania Matches

16. The Big Show & A-Train: WrestleMania XIX

This match, if anything else, suffers due to the fact that it was on the same card as Michaels/Jericho, Austin/Rock and Lesnar/Angle. It wasn't all too bad in fairness. Taker well and truly pulled something special out of the bag, which he needed to to make the bout believable. The engine on the man is well known to be one of the best around and he really excelled himself here. As we all know, Nathan Jones was scheduled to be Taker's partner in the match, but his removal proved to be a blessing. It's fair to say that Jones wasn't the best inside the ring and his presence would have undoubtedly made the match worse. After all, the handicap nature of the fight made it one of the most dramatic in The Phenom's Mania history. As impressive as his streak was back in 2003, ending it then obviously wouldn't have caused the discontent last year's ending did. Any preconceived ideas about how the match would go were put to bed by the three men. It really exceeded its low expectations but its standing in the grand scheme of things means it can't be ranked any higher.
