Looking back, seeing a headline act the calibre of Shawn Michaels on this list is striking. 'The Heartbreak Kid' would go on to win two of the bloody things across 1995 and 1996 and yet, here he was in 1990, a relative nobody.

12 seconds was the time spent in Shawn's Royal Rumble debut, entering 26th - one spot after ultimate winner Hulk Hogan stormed into the ring - and shortly after that being sent straight back out by the Ultimate Warrior.

An otherwise humdrum elimination, Michaels' ejection from the bout was one that helped clear the ring for Hogan and Warrior's iconic stare-down ahead of their WrestleMania VI collision.

The Ultimate Challenge indeed.
