Ranking Triple H's 19 WrestleMania Matches - From Worst To Best

2. Triple H Vs. The Undertaker (WrestleMania XXVIII)

One year after nearly ending both The Undertaker and his magical undefeated Streak for good, Triple H battled The Deadman inside Hell in a Cell at WrestleMania XXVIII. Dubbed an "End of an Era" match, it was to be the last dance between two Superstars who helped define a generation. To make matters even more sentimental, Shawn Michaels served as guest referee. His friendship with Triple H, and the fact that he was retired by Undertaker two years earlier, stacked the deck against The Phenom. The war that ensued inside the steel structure was as brutal and violent as any match in event history. Both men were left with welts, scratches, cuts and blood seeping from them. Their bodies racked with pain, they fought through it to deliver a genuine classic. Michaels helped create drama, with a late-match Sweet Chin Music to Undertaker leaving fans thinking Triple H would finally do the unthinkable. But it was not meant to be. The Game, his body torn apart and no longer supporting his will to win, stood up and defiantly crotch chopped in his opponent's direction. A Tombstone ended his night and the last great era of professional wrestling. At least for now.
