Counter-programming TNA's giant January 4th edition of Impact was suddenly a piece of p*ss when WWE closed 2009 by revealing that 'The Excellence Of Execution' was at long last coming back to the company he'd left under a cloud in 1997.

Making amends with Shawn Michaels and making the time to shoot an angle with Vince McMahon, this was a good example that the company could still offer pleasing surprises rather than ratings-grabbing shocks.
