The Good

Another great wrestling show during a good era for the blue brand. The Smackdown-exclusive show kicked off with a surprising Tag Team Title switch, as the team of Paul London and Brian Kendrick upset MNM to bag the gold in a good match.

That was followed up by a wonderful old-school wrestling match between Chris Benoit and Fit Finlay. The two men took their time, worked every hold and had the crowd's attention for the full twenty minutes that they were out there. This one should be required viewing for anyone currently training at the Performance Center.

Kurt Angle and Mark Henry had a much better match than they did in the main event of the Royal Rumble (which was dire). Angle looked seriously motivated here and was made out to be an absolute beast when he demolished Mizark after the bell had rung.

Booker T and Bobby Lashley had a good King of the Ring final, which was won by the five-time WCW Champion, setting off his highly entertaining run as King Booker. Lashley, while not an incredible worker, was clearly starting to get a lot better at this point.

And finally Rey Mysterio - the man who was booked about as poorly as any World Champion ever - defeated JBL in a great main event. Big bully Bradshaw is great when he's 'on' and a guy like Mysterio is a perfect opponent for him so this was just fine, thank you very much.

The Bad

Melina versus Jillian was nothing to write home about and Gregory Helms and his 1,000 neckbreaker variations against Super Crazy was so-so.

The Rest

Turned out that MNM dropping the tag titles and then breaking up wasn't such a shocker after all, at least not to the locker room: Mercury needed to go to rehab to fight substance abuse issues while Nitro and Melina had garnered so much heat that management were desperate to send them to Raw in order to keep the peace.
