Ranking WWE's Divisions - From Worst To Best
6. SmackDown's Women's Division
For some inexplicable reason, Charlotte Flair's arrival on SmackDown coincided with an unforeseen face turn. With Alexa Bliss headed to Raw, the void she left as SmackDown's top heel seemingly had Flair's name written all over it.
Instead, we now have Charlotte overshadowing the babyface champion Naomi, with Becky Lynch also clinging to relevance. The top heel in the division? James Ellsworth. Well, not quite, but the thrown-together faction of Natalya, Carmella, and Tamina has some work to do before it draws sufficient heat.
The SDL women's role on the Money in the Bank PPV represents the pros and cons of the division. On the one hand, they are using almost all the talent they have available to put on a first-of-its-kind Women's MITB ladder match. On the other hand, Women's Champion Naomi is once again marginalised.
The MITB ladder match will no doubt bring intrigue and plenty of new story angles down the line, but there are definitely issues to address. Naomi needs to take control of the division, or drop the title. Nikki Bella's return also has the potential to muddy things, or straighten things out. This is definitely a division to watch though.
