Having made her shock return earlier this year ahead of WWE Wrestlepalooza - where she returned to the ring to team with her husband CM Punk against Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins - AJ Lee has given a little insight into her approach to this second run with the market leader.

Speaking to Stephanie McMahon on the latest edition of What's Your Story?, AJ revealed that part of the reason why we've not seen her on WWE TV since Wrestlepalooza is that she's a "little trepidatious" about what she commits to.

As the former Divas Champion explained to McMahon (via f4wonline):

"I never wanted to feel how I felt mentally, to where my last year [during the previous WWE run] was very hard for me. And so, I have been a little trepidatious in, like, what I'm committing to and what I can handle. And part of the appeal of, like, 'Okay, let's keep doing this' was that group of women [in WarGames], and being, like, 'Oh, I'm a fan of all of them. Like, I'll be so happy to just be surrounded by them and get to, like, work with them.'"

At Survivor Series: WarGames this Saturday, AJ Lee teams with Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair to battle the team of Becky Lynch, Asuka, Kairi Sane, Lash Legend, and Nia Jax. Where that WarGames match is concerned, AJ said, "I give so much credit to the women [involved for making] it very appealing."

As for the wider WWE women's roster of today, Lee praised that roster for being "so talented and different and special", adding how "their looks are, like, the tenth most interesting thing about them" and that "they're people that I would have been a fan of as a kid."
