Rebooking The 2002 WWE Brand Extension Draft

15. Raw Pick 3: Hulk Hogan

Ric Flair Vince McMahon 2002 Draft

Actual Pick: Kane (yes, Kane)

The run on legends continues, and Ric Flair takes probably the biggest legend of them all, selecting "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan with his third pick. Hogan is credited as the man who brought professional wrestling to the mainstream, main eventing 7 of the first 8 WrestleManias.

After a 9-year absence, Hogan returned to the WWF and absolutely brought the house down at WrestleMania X8. Hogan is at this point enjoying a career renaissance.

Flair's pick initially would pay of, as Hogan would defeat Triple H at Backlash to win the Undisputed WWF Championship, before losing it a month later to The Undertaker. Hogan would take a leave of absence from the WWE just before SummerSlam before returning the night after the Royal Rumble 2003.

Hogan would be around a couple more months before leaving WWE for good in June 2003, making sporadic appearances from that point forward.

So in this scenario, Ric Flair's first three picks are Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, and Hulk Hogan. On the same show. Talk about a dream scenario.
