Rebooking WWE December To Dismember: 7 Ways To Make It Better

3. Tommy Dreamer Vs. Test - No.1 Contenders Match

Paul Heyman was a huge advocate of the Test push of late 2006/early 07. Test was an absolute monster (and sported a comical physique considering the Wellness Policy was in effect), running through the roster and looking pretty damn dominant. He was clearly being pushed towards the title picture. Another Heyman favourite was Tommy Dreamer, who acted as the boss' right-hand man for a number of years in the original ECW. Tommy was a huge favourite amongst the ECW faithful, due to his never say die attitude and ability to absorb a tremendous amount of punishment. Shredded, violent heel against schlubby folk hero is a concept that works. Pitting Test against Dreamer, in a match that would play out similar to all those old Raven/Dreamer matches, would most likely benefit both men and could actually be quite dramatic, if it was epically booked. The match would be a No.1 contenders match, with the winner facing the ECW Heavyweight Champion at the Royal Rumble (whoever that may be - more on that later). Test would eventually win, after delivering a series of devastating moves to The Innovator of Violence. Dreamer would keep kicking out, until Test finally puts him down and out with something particularly nasty (like a big boot with a chair wrapped around Tommy's head, for example).
