Triple H has admitted that there's a chance Rob Gronkowski could show up at WrestleMania 37 this week.

Speaking on Barstool Sports' Pardon my Take podcast, The Game said that while the idea of Gronkowski appearing at the Show of Shows has been discussed internally, he doesn't know if those talks came to anything (h/t Fightful for the transcription):-

"It's a possibility. I know it's been discussed. I'm of the opinion that as the first opportunity with Gronk was happening and we were meeting with him around the Super Bowl, you kind of don't know what Gronk is going to do until Gronk does what he's going to do. You can have a lot of conversations but until he actually shows up, I don't know if it's going to happen. There have been conversations around that. As always, there's going to be a lot of celebrity influence."

Whether or not Triple H would be kept in the dark on such a thing is debatable, so there's every chance he's keeping things ambiguous to avoid spoiling a potential surprise.

Gronkowski signed what was described as a multi-year WWE contract in early 2020. He ended up out of the promotion by summer, opting to return to the NFL rather than pursuing a more substantial career in pro wrestling, though he was able to squeeze a two-month run with the 24/7 Championship in during his time with WWE.

Winning the strap at WrestleMania 36, Gronk, who hosted last year's Showcase of the Immortals, eventually lost it to R-Truth in June 2020.

Returning to the NFL has already proven fruitful for Gronk, whose Tampa Bay Buccaneers won the Super Bowl this year. March saw the tight end sign a new one-year contract worth $10 million with the franchise.
