ROH Nears Marty Scurll Signing With "WWE Main Roster Money" Deal

Could The Villain spurn WWE and AEW in order to stay with Ring of Honor?

Right now, Marty Scurll is likely the hottest free agent in the entire wrestling industry following the expiration of his Ring of Honor deal this past November.

Despite having recently turned up in the NWA, Scurll is still not tied down to one specific promotion at this point in time. The NWA would obviously be eager to sign the Villain, while WWE and AEW have long had an interest in the Brit. But maybe, just maybe, Marty could end up re-signing with ROH.

As per Dave Meltzer, Ring of Honor has made a huge offer to keep Scurll. So much so, the offer on the table is believed to be “basically WWE main roster money while only working maybe 40 dates per year for ROH.”

In addition to these Ring of Honor dates, Marty would have some leeway when it comes to working other shows elsewhere. That said, considering Ring of Honor stopped the former ROH Television Champion from working New Japan Pro Wrestling’s Super J Cup last year, it remains to be seen whether ROH’s proposition would allow the former Elite member to work NJPW dates.

At this stage, it’s unknown whether Marty Scurll has officially re-signed with Ring of Honor – but the star is being advertised for ROH’s Supercard of Honor special that takes place on April 4th during WrestleMania weekend.
