Roman Reigns has effectively declared himself the best wrestler in the world for the second time in as many months.

The current WWE Universal Champion tweeted the following on Sunday night, claiming he is "levels above" anything else in the sport:-

Whether he believes it or not, Reigns is likely working here, tweeting braggadocio to get people talking and inspire posts like this.

It wouldn't be the first time Roman has made claims like this recently, either. Speaking on Cheap Heat in July, Reigns said that everybody else in wrestling was "trying to catch me," adding that he and The Usos were lapping everyone else in a marathon:-

"And this is some stuff I’ve said to Jey [Uso] and Jimmy [Uso] on screen, but I mean, it’s a shoot. It’s for real. This is the only way I want to be remembered is being the hands down, head and shoulders, better than everybody else on the show, everybody else in the world. They’re all trying to catch me. At this point, I feel like within a marathon, we’re lapping people because we put so much preparation, so much thought into the detail, the nuance, and trying to deliver the most sophisticated, not confusing, but very respectful stories as we can."

The 36-year-old is currently enjoying the most critically acclaimed run of his WWE career. He has reigned as Universal Champion since August 2020, fending off challengers from contenders as diverse as Cesaro and Edge, is widely considered the standout performer in WWE at the moment, and has enjoyed stronger booking than anyone else since returning last summer.

Roman Reigns will defend the WWE Universal Championship against John Cena at SummerSlam 2021 (21 August).
