As the patented Road to WrestleMania continues to rumble on, Roman Reigns made his explosive WWE return on last night's Raw.

With Seth Rollins and CM Punk squaring off in a steel cage in the Raw main event, it was there that the Original Tribal Chief made his mark. And not just did Roman have some Royal Rumble revenge in mind for Rollins, but he also had the Second City Saint in his sights.

For that cage match, Rollins and Punk exchanged various heavy moves, with the Visionary at one point hitting a top rope stomp on the Chicago native. That just so happened to leave Seth leaning against the ropes near the open cage door, which is when Reigns decided to strike.

First and foremost, Roman Reigns grabbed Seth Rollins and dragged him out of the cage, meaning Rollins technically scored the win here. From there, Roman would hit Seth with a Superman punch, a spear, and even his own variation of the curb stomp.

After leaving Rollins lying, Reigns then noticed Paul Heyman in the ring with the beaten-down CM Punk. With that, Roman entered the cage and hit Punk with a spear before putting up his 1s as a shaken Heyman watched on.

Reigns vs. Rollins vs. Punk

As many have speculated in recent weeks and months, it does indeed look like we've got Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins vs. CM Punk on the horizon for WWE WrestleMania 41.

Such a triple threat seemed on the cards once the Royal Rumble went down last month, with Punk eliminating both Reigns and Rollins, Punk and Reigns arguing outside the ring, and Rollins then hitting his former Shield running buddy with a couple of hefty stomps; stomps that have resulted in Roman's kayfabce absence since the Rumble.

Of course, CM Punk and Seth Rollins have plenty of history, with the two having been at odds literally since the night the Straight Edge Superstar returned to the company at the 2023 Survivor Series. Not just that, but the history between all three men dates back to the debut of the Shield at the 2012 Survivor Series, with Rollins, Reigns, and Dean Ambrose initially introduced to the WWE main roster as somewhat of an insurance policy for the Punker. Even going back before that, as has been well documented in recent times, Seth Rollins at one point idolised CM Punk, with Tyler Black very much following in Punk's footsteps in Ring of Honor back in the day.

Now, with WrestleMania 41 just over five weeks away, it's all but locked-in that we'll see CM Punk, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns locking horns in a triple threat. On top of that, of course, we also now have plentiful questions about what role Paul Heyman will have to play at the Showcase of the Immortals. While Paul E is Roman's Wiseman, it's no secret that CM Punk was the original Paul Heyman Guy back in the day.
