Roman Reigns Tops PWI's Top 500 Wrestlers Of 2016
This likely isn't going to go over well with some fans.

Congratulations are in order to Roman Reigns, who has topped Pro Wrestling Illustrated's Top 500 list for 2016.
Every year dating back to 1991, the magazine has listed the top 500 professional wrestlers in the world. Past winners have included Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, A.J. Styles, John Cena and most recently Seth Rollins.
Roman came in fourth place in 2015, and seventh in 2014, so he has effectively now taken over the wrestling world!
Actually, try not to get too upset by this ranking. It's a bit of a work, as PWI looks at win/loss records, and how the wrestlers are pushed within their promotion to define their criteria. It's not based on any one thing like workrate, so they're not actually say he's the top worker in the world.
Interesting of note is that all three members of The Shield are in the top 10 for the first time, as Ambrose has made his first appearance that high on the list.
Rounding out the rest of the top 10 this year is Kazuchika Okada, Finn Balor, A.J. Styles, Jay Lethal, Kevin Owens, Shinsuke Nakamura, and then Rollins and Ambrose.
