Sasha Banks and Gary Lineker have engaged in a rather comical spat on Twitter to help promote WWE's impending move to BT Sport.
The company are set to debut on the network in 2020 after a three-decade relationship with Sky came to an end this year. As BT Sport's top presenter and one of the UK's highest profiled television stars, Lineker was as good a target as any for 'The Boss', even if it triggered something of a patter-in-crisis response from the former England goal hero and known crisp enthusiast.

The skit is one of several co-promotions between the two sides, with both hoping to stir up some buzz for the move. The tweets at least gathered some interest during a relatively quiet holiday season on both sides, despite some of the comments alluding the usual "it's not a sport" wrestling still receives whenever it tiptoes near the mainstream.
Any hope of Lineker being involved beyond this back-and-forth with 'The Boss' was quietly put to bed later that day after Lineker replied to a tweet from @WrestlingTravel about the prospect of a WrestleMania appearance.
