Seth Rollins Echoes AEW Star's Comments On CM Punk

The WWE World Heavyweight Champion borrowed from his "brother" when discussing CM Punk.

Seth Rollins borrowed some pointed promo lines from his former WWE "brother" Jon Moxley in an address of the currently-injured CM Punk.

The two were hotly tipped to go to war over WrestleMania 40 weekend, with a fiery back-and-forth promo on Raw following Rollins (worked) infuriated reaction to The Punker returning at Survivor Series the prior November. Punk's injury at the Royal Rumble pumped the breaks on that, but Rollins has remained resolute in his criticism of the 'Voice Of The Voiceless'.

Speaking to Wrestle Radio Australia, he said;

“I mean, I don’t want to say I told you so. But me and a lot of other people told you so. What’s the line? Fragile mind. Fragile body. Fragile ego. I think somebody that I know said something like that about him and it rings true...here’s the deal and I told him this in the ring, if you want to find your way to me and the World Heavyweight Championship you’re gonna have to work for it, the deal is he’s gonna have to work a little harder now.”

The "fragile mind/body/ego" reference is to a promo Jon Moxley cut on edition of Dynamite during the pair's AEW Championship feud in the summer of 2022. Their All Out 2022 main event was the pre-cursor to Punk's now-infamous "Brawl Out" press conference appearance and realistically the beginning of the end of the relationship between performer and promotion.

Drew McIntyre is currently talking himself up as the cause of Punk's absence, leading to what will presumably be the former WWE Champion's first feud back. A Rollins/Punk programme remains extremely likely should both still be willing and well enough to work it.
