Retirement is a hot topic in WWE at the moment due to John Cena's own grand farewell during last weekend's Saturday Night's Main Event special on 13 December. There, the legend smiled as he tapped out to Gunther. He's vowed never to work another match after doing the honours in his 'last battle'.

Further, the likes of Brock Lesnar, AJ Styles and even possible WWE returnee Chris Jericho have been in the conversation as stars who could also call time on their careers in 2026. During a chat with the Ross Tucker Podcast, Seth Rollins openly discussed his own wrestling mortality and whether or not he's considered hanging up the boots.

In a few words: "Nah man, not really".

However, Seth (who is currently injured and had to vacate his World Heavyweight Championship whilst recuperating) knows he's definitely "closer to the end than the beginning". He described this as being aware things are "winding down". He began wrestling when he was 17 and is currently 39 years old - Rollins also has no intentions of remaining active until he's 60.

Seth's fans should breathe easy though, because he added that his last match/retirement is "so far away". His plan is to get healthy, heal up, then attack WWE all over again. The beautiful thing here is that Rollins has a killer storyline/feud to come back to when he's good and ready.

Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed flattened a helpless Rollins towards the end of the 13 October episode of flagship show Raw. Paul Heyman, who helped form The Vision with Seth, looked on in shock as the troops demolished their now-former leader.

That's something for Rollins to sink his teeth into once he's able.

Matches against both Breakker and Reed will be no-brainers for Triple H and the WWE creative team. The question is: When do they pull the trigger on those bouts? Bron was the ringleader for that October attack, so it'd make sense if he was the end goal for the first chapter of Seth's return. There's always a chance that match could happen at WrestleMania 42, especially if Hunter keeps strapping a rocket to Breakker.

Of course, all of this hinges on Seth's availability.
