To fully understand what made Shane McMahon such an exciting performer, you need only to look at the guy's finishing moves. One of them is a flying elbow drop from the top turnbuckle...through the announcer's table. That's literally the way it was designed to be executed every time. (Unless he was doing it from the top of the Titantron, but we'll talk about that later.) Who does that? So he's done this move a lot. And he pretty much nailed it every time. But if I have to choose just one example for you, we should look at his match against Shawn Michaels on a 2006 episode of Raw. Although this was during the height of that horrible God vs. McMahonism angle, the matches with Shane and Shawn yielded some bright spots. Chief among them was the moment when, with a little assistance from Vince, Shawn Michaels was sprawled across the announcer's table and Shane ascended to the top turnbuckle to deliver this Leap of Faith. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0g8Wxw6c4M0 And although this one wasn't as perfect as some of the others (the best was done to The Rock in a 2001 Street Fight), there was something special about this one. Not only was this the last Shane ever performed the move in WWE, but the guy on that table was Shawn Michaels, the man who perfected the flying elbow drop. Consider it an homage.
