With tensions high across the globe right now, there’s now word on some backstage beef that played out backstage prior to this past weekend’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House event.

As per Fightful, WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels got into a heated discussion with another WWE producer just before TakeOver began to air.

Right now, it’s yet to be revealed just which producer the Heartbreak Kid had problems with, although the report states that the altercation was driven by the current unrest that is engulfing the United States at this time.

Whilst specifics are vague, it’s believed that this unnamed producer suggested how equality is already in place across America – with Shawn taking umbrage to this and citing how the USA is brimming with inequality and systemic racism.

The belief is that Michaels was completely professional during this talk, and both Shawn and this mystery producer were cordial throughout the rest of the TakeOver event. In fact, the heated talk was so lowkey and in private that the talent on hand for In Your House didn’t even hear about the disagreement until the following day.
