Smackdown was taped on Tuesday night in Ottawa, Canada. The show started with Jerry The King Lawler interviewing Bad News Barrett. The heel said that Lawler wasn't a real king, because he'd never won King Of The Ring. He demanded that Lawler say "All hail King Barrett" but he refused. Barrett then lined up a Bull Hammer, but Dolph Ziggler made the save. This set up Ziggler vs Barrett, but that went to a DQ when Sheamus interfered. Neville then ran in for the save, which set up a tag match. Ziggler and Neville defeated Barrett and Sheamus, with Dolph pinning the Irishman. Luke Harper beat Fandango. Notably, Erick Rowan is back as a heel, when he attacked Fandango. Rusev and Lana were out next, with a huge babyface reaction for Lana. That resulted in Rusev sending her to the back again. The heel then said he'd make Cena quit on Monday. New Day defeated Kidd, Cesaro and Ryback. The lights went out and Bray Wyatt appeared, distracting Ryback and leading to Kidd being pinned. Naomi beat Emma. Lucha Dragos defeated Los Matadores. The Payback contract signing was the main event, with Seth Rollins, Randy Orton, Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose making their WWE Title Fatal Four Way official. A huge brawl predictably broke out to end the show.
