It seems as though Drew McIntyre may be next in line for Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns at WrestleMania Backlash.

With last night's SmackDown broadcast, going down in the MVP Arena in Albany, NY, being a double-whammy of sorts for those in attendance - taping this week and next week's shows in the venue - the previously advertised Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship contract signing between Raw and SmackDown duos champs RK-Bro and The Usos, respectively, saw a rather intriguing development.

Said signing ultimately devolved into an inevitable brawl that saw the WWE and Universal Champion come face to face with The Scottish Psychopath. A small stare-down then gave way to a fight between the brutes as McIntyre nailed Reigns with a belly-to-belly in the skirmish.

A programme between the two was teased on this week's blue show during a Sami Zayn/Reigns back and forth backstage. And now, with the aforementioned Drew duel on the taped edition of the show for next week, it looks as though McIntyre could be on the horizon for Reigns next.

This match is set to headline a number of live events across Europe in the coming WWE tour, so all signs appear to point to a titanic battle at WrestleMania Backlash.
