Stephanie McMahon’s 10 Most Memorable WWE Matches

3. Stephanie vs. Chris Jericho vs. Triple H - Raw (March 25, 2002)

Stephanie and Chris Jericho's attempts to put Triple H out of the business, injuring his surgically repaired quadriceps prior to a huge Undisputed Championship match between The Game and Y2J at WrestleMania X-8 failed miserably as the Cerebral Assassin demonstrated tremendous resiliency and vanquished his egotistical opponent and popped the Toronto crowd with a huge Pedigree to his soon-to-be ex-wife. Just hours after winning the championship and capping off a triumphant return to the squared circle after eight months on the sidelines, Triple H learned that his celebration may be short-lived. He agreed to defend the top prize in all of sports-entertainment in a Triple Threat match against Jericho and Stephanie. It was agreed upon that if Stephanie was pinned or made to submit, she would have to leave WWE for good. It was against that background that the three performers took to the ring for the main event of the historic Brand Extension episode of Monday Night Raw. Like an annoying gnat, Stephanie made sure to repeatedly breakup pin attempts and even scored a nearfall on one occasion. No matter how hard she tried to preserve her job with her father's company and, at the same time, keep Triple H from leaving with the title, she could not overcome he estranged husband's will and determination. After a bone-crunching spinebuster, Stephanie had her shoulders pinned to the mat and was dragged kicking and screaming away from the ring and right out of WWE. At least for a few months.
