The Complete A-Z Of WrestleMania

17. J - John Cena

Stone Cold Steve Austin The Rock
WWE

Despite a curiously selfless drop to the midcard over the previous few years, John Cena has built up a glittering WrestleMania CV in line with his status as WWE's premiere performer.

After his WrestleMania 19 'rap battle' with Jay Z and Fabolous was binned when the hip hop stars thought better of attending, he made good the following year by opening Madison Square Garden's WrestleMania 20 with a US Title victory over The Big Show.

From there, he went on a staggering main event run at the 'Showcase of the Immortals', winning title matches against JBL, Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Edge, Batista and ultimately The Rock in between the odd narrow defeats against Randy Orton, The Miz and 'The Great One' himself.

Cemented in WrestleMania's history as he is every other aspect of WWE lore, his adventures in the middle of the show since 2014 have delayed what most believe is an inevitable clash with The Undertaker. Though time is definitely running out for both, it's likely the blockbuster contest would be the undisputed main event whenever WWE decide to pull the trigger.
