Bret Hart may have left WrestleMania X as the top champion in the entire promotion, but it was another title that many fans were talking keenly about following the pay-per-view. Before Hart could close out the show, Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon put on one of the best WWF/WWE matches of all time on the under card.

The first Ladder Match on a company supershow, Razor vs. Michaels shone the spotlight directly onto the Intercontinental Title in a big way. Fans had fully embraced the likes of Hart and Michaels, but it was becoming clear that guys like Razor Ramon and others were a huge part of this 'New Generation' too.

Years later, TLC bouts would raise the bar for what was expected from ladder-based wars, but that match at 'Mania X really stood apart from anything else the WWF had ever presented.

Incredibly, Ramon and Michaels would rekindle that magic over a full year later at SummerSlam 1995, but it's the 'Mania match that most regard as the superior effort. That must be down to originality.
