The Rumoured Lineup For WWE Battleground

Could we be getting Cena versus Owens III?

The next WWE pay-per-view is Battleground on July 19 from St. Louis and so far the only two matches confirmed are Seth Rollins defending the WWE Title against Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns versus Bray Wyatt. With four more weeks of television before the event, there's plenty of time to build up the card. Here's the rumoured lineup courtesy of the Wrestling Observer. United States Title: John Cena vs. Kevin Owens - Their first two matches didn't have a title on the line, but Owens did an interview saying he wants a US Title shot. By the time of Battleground, Owens will have likely lost the NXT Title to Finn Balor on July 4 in Japan as well. Sheamus vs. Randy Orton - It was built up before Money in the Bank and continued on Raw after it, so it appears likely even though most crowds hate their matches. Dean Ambrose vs. Kane - Ambrose was seen trying to motivate Kane on Raw when he wondered if Kane would feel motivated again. Intercontinental Title: Ryback vs. Miz vs. Big Show - This was set up at Battleground and followed up on Raw when Miz beat Big Show by count out. Tag Team Championship: Prime Time Players vs. The New Day - When champions lose their titles they get rematches, so it makes a lot of sense to have this match again. The Bellas vs. Paige and a partner or Nikki defends her Divas Title - There's a lot of speculation that WWE is going to bring up Charlotte to the main roster, which would make her an ally of Paige in this storyline. It could be a tag match or a singles match for the Divas Title. That part is not known at this time. That would appear to be a full card. With eight matches and Brock Lesnar's presence, that definitely makes this year's July PPV seem more special than usual.
