The SHOCKING True Extent Of WWE Raw's Ratings Collapse

WWE's viewership continues to tumble in 2019.

This week's WWE Monday Night Raw delivered a slight uptake in viewership, with the numbers increasing by just under 2% for the Stomping Grounds fallout show. Regardless, the flagship's ratings remain in a chronic state of decline, with new research from Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics Radio (as highlighted in Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter) revealing the slump's extent.

Per the numbers, Raw's viewership is down 19% compared to Q2 2018. This is considerably worse than Q1, when the show tumbled by 14%, and far, far grimmer than the general decline in TV ratings across the United States.

To break the figures down, 18-49-year-old males declined by 19%, women of the same age by 24%, 12-34 women by 30%, 12-34 men by 27%, and over 50s by 13%. As Meltzer points it, it's this oldest age group that is keeping WWE's red brand from an even bigger collapse.

Vince McMahon and co. must be hoping and praying that SmackDown's move to Fox helps reignite the company's buzz. Yes, that deal will score WWE a huge payday, but their new benefactors aren't going to be happy if the promotion deliver a failing TV product.
